We now have most of the Rock River Arms pricing up on our website:

www.Questar.ca

There's still some additional items not yet posted and some of the options aren't listed yet, but all the base rifle models are there and so are the lowers, the uppers and some of the accessories. More to come over the next few weeks.

Nearly all of our "blanket" Export Permits have been approved so we will be able to fill most orders in 30 days or less depending on if RRA has it in stock or if they have to build it for us.

If you have any questions or don't see an item that you're interested in, please e-mail me at: Sales@Questar.ca

Are you able to do shorty barrels or is RRA stuck on 16"?

I must answer this question 10 or 15 times a day :)

Almost all of the US manufacturers have SBR's in their product line. SBR stands for Short Barrel Rifle and in the United States any rifle with a barrel length less than 16" is considered an SBR which is a Class III firearm and comes under National Firearms Act regulations (same classification as machine guns and silencers).

It is a felony in the US to possess an SBR unless it is properly registered and you have paid a one time Tax Stamp. Just having possession of the barreled upper (if you also own a regular AR15 lower) would mean you are committing a felony if you don't have a properly registered SBR lower to go with it. It's complicated.

You'll see lots of companies in the US selling short barrel uppers for the AR's and they make small print statements that "all NFA rules apply" (that's what they mean).

Until not that long ago the US State Department was allowing SBR's to be exported to Canada, however, this is no longer the case. Current State Department policy with respect to SBR's is that they will not approve Export Permits for civilian end-users. All permit applications for SBR's must be accompanied by end-use certificates from law enforcement agencies or military end users. We've tried ordering these for inventory with the end-use statement that we'll only sell them to law enforcement, and our application was denied. The result is very few of these are getting into Canada anymore. We do get stuff now and then but we do not expect to see any RRA product with barrels under 16".

Hope this answers the question (probably more than you wanted to know, but others may be wondering as well) ;)

Another question you probably answer daily but I can't find the answer to......
Is the $100US service fee additional to the RRA prices posted on your website?

Anytime we quote you a Canadian dollar price for a product, then that is the total cost (except for taxes based on which province you're in and final shipping cost from Barrie to your location). The Canadian dollar price will include all import fees, transportation to Canada, customs clearance, etc..

The Rock River Arms prices shown on the website already include "the fees". Same with the prices shown for the Glocks, Kimbers, Olympic Arms, Bushmasters, etc. They all include the import costs already.

The Import / Export fees apply if you are buying an item from a 3rd party in the US and want us to import it for you (example: you buy a gun from GunBroke).

Or when you want us to purchase and import a specialty item on your behalf, then we will either quote you the USD dollar cost plus the export service fee and other costs... or we will quote you an "all in" Canadian dollar price.

Sorry for the confusion.

Hi,
Do you have any in stock.

If you send me an e-mail: Sales@Questar.ca I'll be happy to try to answer your question... but you'll need to be a bit more specific... A2 what?

Can you order just short barrels as handgun barrels or something?

Not sure what you're asking since this is an old thread and much has changed since it started. If you're asking about 7" or 10.5" AR uppers then the answer is yes we can get them. Rock River Arms offers A2 and A4 uppers in 7" and 10.5" lengths (in both 9mm and .223/5.56 calibers). We often have these in stock... complete uppers with charging handle and bolt carrier group.

See our website for pricing info... www.Questar.ca

Rock River does not sell "just the barrels" in those short lenghts.

do you carry any stripped lowers?

We try to but for the past few months they've been very hard to come by. Every manufacturer is short shipping stripped lowers and using them in their own production runs... there are shortages everywhere, industry wide.
