quick question. Are the vert grips similar in size to other grips(like Tango down or KAC) also, how do they secure, are they a threaded centre like KAC or locking bars like on a TD????

Threaded center. Very close to same size.

We have the Tango Down grips coming... won't be here until late this month or next... pricing is considerably higher.

So are these foregrips Tango Down knockoffs?

No, but they are similar. They are a bit thicker than the Tango down but very close in shape, style and thickness. They have the same idea with a removable panel that allows light activation switches to be inserted and the cord to be run along side. There is a battery storage compartment in the center. A lot of similarities... but Tango Down is still the only one I've seen using the quick release mounting system.

I have one of these grips that I purchased elsewhere. I was actually surprised at how robust they feel. They are definately a larger grip but they feel very comfortable.
