Just got off the phone with vault, they told me only SOME of the rifles are confirmed shipped on their way to canada. Some of the rifles receivers cracked when they swapped out the barrels!!! Im done with kel tec I sold my pre order to a friend that doesnt mind waiting. This whole situation has put me off kel tec. The receivers cracked brand new?!?! Imagine how tough it would be to get warranty down the road. BTW kel tec did not build these rifles, vault did thats why you dont see them listed or even mentioned on kel tecs website. To risky for my money im out. Good luck to everyone else!
I may do the same.........
Life is Garand
Wow, what a schmozzle.
Am I ever glad that I did a return immediately. I had a hunch that it wasn't going to be a smooth replacement process when we were told to send them to Vault. This story seems to be getting worse and worse. A sincere wish of good luck to all of those who are going to stick it out.
Our collective dream of a sub-$1500, non-restricted semi-auto .223/5.56 appears to remain elusive.
This whole situation is FUBAR. I'm glad I didn't go this route and instead bought a VZ58 NR .223 I feel bad for the guys that put there hard earned money towards this. You can't blame anyone but Vault they dropped the ball. Watching this sh*t show unfold makes me sick. Sorry to the guys that have there guns in limbo but it sounded to good to be true from the beginning.
"There's a lot of things blamed on me that never happened. But then, there's a lot of things that I did that I never got caught at."
I just received a call from Gary @ Vault. All the guns are in Canada and should be shipped out in the next few days.
