Paratex Dry is it comparable to Gore-tex ?
Similar concept.
Different manufacturers use different fabrics. Arcteryx, Snugpak, Mountain hardware etc all use waterproof/breathable material ie: Goretex, Paratex Dry and Dry Q Elite.
I'm told Goretex requires some humidity to build up before it starts to vent while Dry Q Elite is suppose to vent right away as soon as the outside/inside temp is different. I'm not sure on the Paratex Dry or how many liters of water each is suppose to expel per hour.

I wonder if the price of new stock will be so high that I should just buy a scorpion 3 now?
Price will be going up on Snugpak, as well as other items as they come back in stock.
The exchange rate is brutal.
