Lightbulb Mosin-Nagant M44 Carbines Available Now

The elusive M44 carbine is finally back in stock out here on the west coast! It's been quite awhile since we've seen a proper shipment of these handy 7.62x54mmR rifles in Canada so it's good to finally see these back in our shop. The M44 was a mid-war addition to the Soviet arsenal to provide front-line troops with a handier rifle for the style of battle the Russian forces were facing at the time. It included a side-folding cruciform bayonet, an addition not present on the preceding M38 carbine.

These are available in stock now and ship with our $10 flat rate shipping anywhere in Canada.

    Cheers,
    Daniel

I have a question somebody out there may be able to answer. I own a mosin nagant carbine that is marked 1943r. There is a notch in the stock for a 1944 style folding bayonet, yet there is no bayonet lug/hinge on the front of the barrel.
The serial number on the stock matches the receiver and yet it has no bayonet. So Is it a 1938 carbine or an early 1944 carbine?

Sounds like you have a refurbished M38 with a M44 stock. Quite common, I have one that I got from Tradex.
