    Hi papovka,
Could you give more detail?... I've been watching and trying to find a Yugo for a while now... thought they were
Late 50's 60's 70's production ... I know Yugoslavia is no more, so now I'm confused...
    I'm certainly not an expert...

Any difference in quality from the guns made in the old Yugoslavia and now in Serbia?

Zastava plant is the main plant that made all the small arms for Yugoslavian army. That plant is located in the city of Kragojevac which is in Serbia. After Yugoslavia went belly up, the plant remained in Serbia and is supplying the Serbian army as well as the civilian markets around the world. I'm not sure of the quality difference between these new manufacture M57 and the old surplus ones but from what I can see on youtube people are happy with them.

Order a Zastava M57 at noon on Wednesday and it was delivered at 11:00 on Friday, less than 48 hours from calling. That's the fastest service I have ever had buying a firearm. Woman I spoke to on the phone was also very nice to deal with. Packing was very well done, with extra magazine wrapped separately so there was no chance to scratch the pistols finish. Pistol looks very nice, dripping in oil and needs a good cleaning, after that if anyone is interested I'll post a picture. Nice pistol to shoot 7.62X25.

I'll definitely be a returning customer.

I ordered two, one for me and one for my friend.... My friends is very nice, but mine is sticky with a lot of friction in the trigger and won't cycle ,,, hopefully it will wear in after a better cleaning and a few hundred rounds...
