I do have something legitimately new to add and I am happy to add it.

We received a reply to our recent inquiries this afternoon. The reply included a request for further technical information. We are preparing our reply including the requested information.

So there you go! That's the update.

We look forward to seeing this through.

    Best regards,
    Walter
Wait... I'm re-reading this, and reading probably more into it than I should.

The reply "included" a request for further technical info. So was that "included" with other stuff they said?

Can you share that information you sent to them with us? Probably to much to ask haha.

To be clear - ish.... The request you submitted (just guessing) was an "update request" , what stage of the classification process the rpd is at? Then the lab said "oh BTW, we need ______ from you."

You mentioned in the past that 'it's in the que for a written report".
    Very mysterious.

I hope the.. (scratch that, im not opening that can of worms )

At least the ball is still rolling. I'd rather have the ball ammo loading, but don't we all.

    I need another coffee.

I asked for an update on the file, including updated service time, didn't get updated time frame, but did get a request for technical info in addition to what has already been sent.
Hope thats clear. Nothing to read into.

I agree. I think it's an intentional stall. They have an actual sample....How much more technically accurate can it get than the real thing?

Enough so they can cover their ass either way.

If it's prohib, they will be able to say for sure.

If it isn't, they don't want to risk another Type 97 / Swiss / cz858 fiasco. I'm sure they are feeling the heat a little themselves. They won't do anything without covering their asses either way.

Just reading back through to, I dunno, torture myself and raise my blood pressure.

I noticed this and I dont think that is correct. In fact, I know it isn't since JR at The Shooting Edge was able to import a SCAR with his prohib license for the business. So ya, it may be prohib but it is not without a chance of SOMEONE owning it.

Legal in the US, which is why TNW does it. Here once a full auto always. Down in the ?US once it is cut up, it isn't a gun any more. Then you can resell it into a new semi auto only.
