    I would give this some serious thought if I could get 7.62 and .223 either combination ....

    i could be mistaken as i am not an expert on the XCR but i think there is an L version that houses the .223 cartidge and an M version that houses the bigger cartriges like .308 and 7.62x39.

    True that the L is for smaller cartridges and the M for larger but 7.62x39 is in the L's.

    XCR-L is .223, 7.62x39, 6.8SPC, 5.45x39, whereas XCR-M is 308 and .260Remington (as per manufacturer).
    Been interested in one of these for a few years, but usually by the time they get to the EE they are the same price as a new one.
