Same here...I would be interested in a Norinco that shoots 50 BMG, either bolt or semi. I think although $1500 would be reasonable, it would need to be in the $800-$900 range to be sold in large numbers and it would also need to be 1 1/2-2 MOA in accuracy since a 50 BMG is primarily for long range. I think Norinco could pull off a $800 50 BMG bolt action rifle since they can produce good M14s that sells at $450 in Canada and the made in America version sells at 4-5 X's that amount in the $2500 range. Just make it strong, but it does not need to be pretty or smooth because Norinco owners will have no problem painting or performing minor modifications to make their 50BMG more smooth or give it trigger work if they can buy one for under $1000 taxes in.
Personally I would spend $1500-$2000 on a Norinco BMG that was bolt action, but I doubt if enough could be sold that would equal the sales of a CZ858 which is going to be a battle even with 10,000 owners....although with no more LGR if they need to be turned in by law without no compensation I doubt if the RCMP will get more than 10%.....Just IMHO anyways.
