As I have said before. The FRT for the so called phantom non restricted AR10's does not exist. It has been looked for extensively. Those that may possibly be in Canada are ones that simple escaped the clutches of the government in 1996.

Here is what the selector area looks like for a factory AR10 semi-auto. In order to be deemed importable into the US a sear block was installed in the way of an over sized steel pin. [not unlike a modern colt ar15 sear block] The hammer is defanged from the factory and the selector is specially machined. These rifles are engraved as "AR102 Sporter" because the ATF did not want them cofused with miltary arms. There is also a block inthe magwell to keep standard magazines from being inserted. Only specially made 5 round mags will fit.

Time for someone to build a ar102 sporter lower and assemble a rifle for submission! The drawings provided on the other page combined with measurements from an original should make it possible. I wished I never passed up those parts kits a couple years ago!

Has anyone chacked to see if there are any of the US made old style semi-auto AR10's in Canada? These assembled rifles are not cheap, but it may be the quickest route to a usable AR10. The lowers were made by:

    Specialty Arms
    Telko
    Sendra
    Central Kentucky Arms
    H&H Enterprises
and a few very small makers like Chasan.

These lowers have no sear hole and some have selector blocks on the outside. Generally, the fire control area is complete unmilled in the region where the sear should normally reside.

Would there be an frt for each manufacturer of a receiver?

Not sure if it was suggested already. There is a blueprint section on Biggerhammer just right below the manuals. One of which is the Armalite AR-10. It is password protected so if anyone have any means of access....
