Yep, I paid $499 for my first one with extra for the rubber protector.

What is the battery life like on these when using exclusively battery power?

I have never used up a battery.

Just tried to add one to my cart and the price shows as $444 in the total... Website not been updated with the new price yet?

Two questions
First on your web site it says RSA Red Dots do not feature slide-lock device, what is this and is one needed
Second will this sight work as a co-witness on an AR 15 with stock front sight and flat top

Yes you are right. Those who paid 799 CAN$ must be having a party whith their RSA at the moment.
