    Hey Can-down

The UC40 will only charge the ARB-L1T, ARB-L1S or ARB-L1 battery, It will not charge 18650 batteries.

    Regards
    Matt

Can you top up the flashlight via USB without first discharging it and without damaging the battery ie. developing memory issues?

Dave's has the flashlight on its website but it is only 420 lumens, not 960 on turbo.

When will the newer more powerful lights be available in Canada?

Thanks Matt, I wonder why it won't charge other li-ion rechargeable cells?
Do you know if there is a minimum charge current? Could a solar panel trickle feed the unit?

Geo, Batteries have come along way and don't really suffer from the memory issue any more. The newest li-ions are also a lot better at holding a charge when not in use.

    Hi Geologist

The UC40 UE is available, DS tactical did receive some but they may have sold out or their website may not be up to date, several non CGN dealers have them in stock

    Hi Can-down

The circuit is designed to only charge the listed batteries, it becomes disabled when it detects other battery types
Fenix has said the minimum charge current is 500mA.

    Thanks
    Matt
