I would be inclined to call it a SE-SAW....

M-249s are fun especially when you get to choose your flavor ;-) As soon as I press the trigger my #### eating perma grin starts like a ###### fueled hardon err not that I know what that's like;-)

Would it not be a better option to do something like RPD or 1919? Then we get the unlimited belt capacity... at $8K though might be a bad downside though

they were supposed to make a semi auto M60 but production was suspended because military contracts for M60's took over production. By M240 I assume you mean FN MAG

Problem is I doubt canada would let any newly manufactured open bolts into the country. They would have to be closed bolt design, which sort of takes the fun out of owning the firearm for me (I like collecting them for their mechanics not their looks). Also couldn't you link a lot of links together, but every 5 you add a spent case or make a dummy round? (Sure not as fun, but you can pretend you are clearing a jam...) Or is that still considered a prohibited device?

i remember they used to jam all the time with a mag on, plastic mag or metal mag, and jam bad. had a jam so bad the gun plumbers had to fix it. of course, that was 20 years ago. is that problem fixed?
