How to tell if it's a military model exept the marking and chinese characters ? Mine have only the serial number, no code and marking on the receiver.
I picked up a refurb 1953 russian at CT two days ago. The Chinese SKS I received from Marstar is *mint*compared to the Russian. But for $199, including sling, pouch, bottle, and 4 stripper clips, and no shipping it's a worthy addition to my collection

I have 3 soviet sks's and just recently bought a chinese. The handguard on the chinese is kinda sloppy and loose compared
to my soviet handguards. Is this a normal thing for the chinese.
