Wonder if the Cosco shipping policy change has anything to do with the UN small arms trade treaty!? So no more ammo at all from overseas? More clarification please.
PAL is required for all ammo/firearms sales immediately after buyer states "I'll take it". Failure to do so will result in the loss of your first to claim it position. Shipping insurance is extra and must be requested.

Agreed, if it's a wider restructuring of import/export rules than people are going to go on buying spree

Did a little more digging and found that COSCO has to go through the port of Seattle USA to ship ammunition to us. Since they had to do a bunch of paperwork to get it here (thanks to the USA) they had enough of that game and will no longer ship any explosives which includes ammo. This is NOT the official word just what I've read on misc. forums.

So what is the alternative? Why cant they just ship straight to Vancouver or get an Eastern Block country to ship to Halifax?

this is not the reason, it has to do with crew nationality and COSCO policy

Use a different shipping company? Hmmm maybe I should go get that boat the Canadian coast guard set adrift in the Atlantic and start my own transport company......
