POL Question
Hey guys,
My father in law has a POL that expires in 2015. At this point he's not interested in getting his PAL. I was reading something about a May 16th 2014 cut off date.
Does this mean in 2015 when his POL expires he will have no choice but to get a PAL?
Thanks!

As long as he renews in time he should be fine. I have not heard anything about cancelling them altogether ..they just aren't giving anymore out...... so don't let it expire! Keep In mind just because he only has a POL doesn't mean he can't acquire more firearms ... anyone can lend him firearms of the classification he is allowed to posses ... and simply not ask for it/them back....
