Thanks Guys. I've emailed Target Sports Canada and await a reply. Alberta Tactical Rifle has just what I need but I cannot bring it in and out of the US on my trip. At least I don't fancy running the risk of loosing a €2k scope to the TSA. Pity as I'll be right near them.
Yogi, good idea. I thought of it but unfortunately any contacts / family I have on your side of the pond are south of the border.
Is it just me / google or is there a real lack of gun stores in the Toronto Area?? Is there a reason?
Toronto seems to be a very anti firearm city. Not the people, just the mayors and politicians.
Downtown Toronto itself, with a few notable exceptions, is a very anti gun city. You won't find anything too close to the greater Toronto area in terms of gun shops.
You know you are a real gunnut when you start practicing trigger control on power tools.
WWJMBD? What Would John Moses Browning Do?
Flarehtys is right in Toronto, and has some good selections, and Lebarons & Bass Pro are within 30-40 minutes of the city.
And Welcome aboard!
Hello and Welcome to CGN!
Another question I forgot to ask, is Law Enforcement discount a "done thing" in Canada. I never used to ask for it bit I was previously offered it in Bass Pro in the US. Maybe I have that look about me
I am a cop but they didn't even care that my ID was not only outta town but outta country.
If you buy it in Canada, but are heading to the US after, why not have the dealer ship it to your hotel in Toronto? It will be waiting for you when you arrive.
