My favourite pistol by far.
Sold mine though, as 45 just isn't competitive, wish they made a 9mm...
I've had one for about a year. I love it, but that's not to say they are without issues. The mag release is a QC issue that FN is fully aware of, yet don't seem to do anything about. And the mag wells can be a bit......sticky. I've sent mine back to wanstalls to have it fixed( great customer service) but it didn't seem to actually fix the issue. It's almost like the polymer in the frame( or maybe just some batches) expand and contract ever so slightly to make the mags stick or at least slow down, when the mag release is hit. I've ended up smoothing out the inside of the mag well with fine sandpaper quite a lot, but the issue isn't totally gone.
I've found a work around that removes it from being an issue. When I need to do an emergency reload, I hit the mag release while rotating the gun into my "workspace", just like you would with any pistol. I then rapidly rotate the magwell to the right, then back to the left side of my body to accept the new mag. This "flick" of the gun is enough to send the mags clear of the pistol. It doesn't affect the speed of the mag changes( if it does, it's so minute that you would never notice in a competition.). If my description is confusing, Google centre axis re lock and watch how they teach reloads. My method is pretty much the same.
Aside from that, I have about 4 thousand rounds through mine, and I love everything else about it. 10 rounds of 45 is awesome. Too bad it's not the 15 the mags are designed for.
Using an RMR on a pistol also has its advantages/ disadvantages but I've grown to love it.
I wouldn't hesitate to get another FNX 45 Tactical.

thanks for that info.. anyone else here seem to run into that problem?
what are the chances that these ever go on sale =p
I have a HK45 CT/ Sig 220R / G21 g4/ and the best of all is the FNX45 TAC, now it's not in front of my Les Baer but it's an awsome pistol... JP.
Still have one last lonely FNX-45 Tactical looking for a friend.
