Perhaps it would be cheaper and quicker to bring in just the hand guards if people want a different look? Can they make the original triangle hand guards?
I think they would sell tons of the CQ-311 if they removed the goofy triangle and made in china markings and install M16 style furniture

I think it is a nice retro M16A1 type rifle, however you would have to replace the butt stock and hand guard with the proper vintage. I wonder if they would fit. The hand guard cap is round so that would have to be replaced with a triangular one for the early hand guards. As well the delta ring is beveled and to be accurate you would need a straight one. It appears the lower is of the A2 variety with the reinforced rear but that is minor.
