^^^^^ Agreed! Had to do it once myself. The CFO will take your info and you don't hear a thing about it anymore. Privacy issues and all that. Not sure if the guy I reported actually got his PAL...

This I think. At least they would investigate further to see if the accusations are warranted or not. Being bad tempered isn't an exclusion but making threats is.

    Thanks guys,
I will call the CFC and let them decide how he should be dealt with.
I come from a good family where we never had to deal with issues like this, but, things change, and they change fast, and now I have to deal with it since I can't go on knowing that this can escalate to something a lot worse then what I have witnessed so far.
At least this part I can do something about.

Good call on informing the CFC. That's what they are there for. Aggression aside, I can't stand a person that would use a child as a bargaining chip.

I think there should be a sticky on this subject. I have no doubt there are a number of people in the same situation.
People should not have to fear both the government and the criminal. It should be that the criminal fears both the people and the government.

If he has a substance abuse problem and is using a child as a bargaining chip perhaps a call to child services is also in order? Kids deserve better than that...

Also, has anyone tried to get this guy help for his substance abuse?

Forget those guys who say it's finking or myob. If the OP believes this guy is truly a threat, he is protecting us all by calling the line. It IS his business.

We tried to get him help, but it never worked. I can't protect everyone, but there are people I care about that I can protect, and that is my intention here.
A call to child services may come at a later time, right now I'm trying to make sure the child will at least have a mother when this escalates, which it for sure will sooner or later.
Since my family is involved, I can't forget this matter, they are people I care about, and if someone intentionally hurts them, it is my business to protect them, even if they don't realize what is going on.

    xp
