i ordered awhile ago, but both items are still incoming on the next shipment. oh well =(
Before more people jump on the "I ordered on xday, can I get a discount" train let's stop and think about the retailer for just a moment.
Retailers like OST have periodic specials like this in order to increase their sales, move inventory, and entice people who are maybe sitting on the fence wrt a purchase. You made your purchase, the inventory is sold to you, you didn't need any enticing. Asking for a discount after the fact is kind of like saying, "Hey Darren, I bought some stuff from you at a price that I thought was fair but can you give me $15?"
I know everyone likes to get a deal, we all do. And I know you asked politely and there is no harm in asking as they say. I just think sometimes we need to stop and consider things from the retailers side. Where does a retailer draw the line. You bought something Tuesday and want a discount. I bought something Monday, should I get one too? And if OST says yes to me, what about the guy who ordered Sunday?
