i tought about the mounting not the scope

Not sure if these are the same as original scope mounts, but the originals need to be shaved or shimmed to sight in for windage.

Have the bores been inspected? I'm looking for one with a good bore. Strong rifling and no pitting.

These being reproduction snipers.. Was it originally a sniper or a regular Mosin that was converted? Is the scope a reproduction? I've been interested in picking one of these up for awhile but just started looking at them again.

Most scopes are reproduction. Of all the original scopes I've seen, none were in serviceable condition due to age. The seals are gone or they are fogged, ect.

The description on the website says the scope and bolt handle are reproductions so it's a new conversion.

Unless one is a Collector in the purist form, go with the reproduction scope. In the rare case that one might find an original operating scope, it would devalue immensely if it were deteriorated while shooting.
