Quality of latest batch of Norinco 223.

Hey! I've heard mixed reviews on the quality of the brass, can anyone give me a review of the latest ammo being shipped?

    Thanks!!

Haven't tried to reload any of it yet, but the brass appears just fine. there is sometimes a bit of corrosion on it, but its pretty light. it shoots pretty good, its hot and reliable, and fairly accurate. I have put 5 in a nickel sized group at 50m with it, red dot, no magnification. its a bit dirty, like any other norinco ammo but its also cheap too. I have had 2(two) failures to fire in about 12-1500 rounds. Both were crappy primers, as I re struck both about 5 times each and still no bang. just basic 55grn fmj.

Thanks! I'm starting to reload 223 and can't help but notice just how cheap the a Norinco stuff is.

Figured I'd use the brass to reload my next batch.

Hey man, I've shot about 250 through my CQA.. I haven't tried to reload them yet, decently accurate.. Hot I would agree too - Brass seems to eject straight out without hitting the deflector. Haven't had any Failure to Fire or Feed or anything.

I did however have a few where the necks split on the first firing, so that doesn't seem to be a good indicator of them being reloadable.

    Good luck, cheers.

Maybe they'll be alright to cut and resize for 300 AAC LOL!

I was firing my last remaining batch of white box norc ammo and still got the odd hole in the rear portion of the brass. A large puff of smoke comes out the ejection port so you know when it happens. Never had issues in 3k rounds with the old yellow box stuff.

Norc are cheap but no issues on over 3K rounds, this is blast away ammo at it's best for 0.25 cents/round... JP.

I started saving my split stuff for that reason too.

I've scrounged enough commercial cases at the range that I'm eventually just going to sell the norc brass off anyway, along with the crimped federal stuff. Don't want to swage pockets if I don't need to.
