This is some perfect timing! Im looking for a decent set. After reading countless reviews I'm thinking Gen 2. I'll pony up the cash for a good set.

    1. Can you shoot with goggles on?
    2. Will your sight alignment work on goggles with a Reddot like the vortex counter strike?

I want to mount it on a crossbow but figure a NV scope would be a pain in the ass to walk around with, maybe goggles would be a better option.

Sure you can shoot with goggles on but if you use them with a red dot you most likely won't be able to see the dot, you would need a device that is NV compatible.

Oh I am pretty sure you could find a place to use one, sitting in your yard at night with a set of NV goggles on is kind of fun and makes the neighbors nervous LOL

All you gotta do is tell them you are trying to reduce your carbon footprint by conserving electricity.

I'll have a closer look at the ATN colour monoculars. Not long ago I got a Bushnell Stealth View at 50% off bargin bin price - if I had known, I would have bought ATN DNVM-6 by the looks / cost of it. I've used mine to spot the wildlife in the park next door, that has coyote from time to time.... also spot the odd drug dealer or two :/
