The Russian are better quality, so if you find a good one you have machined parts vs extensive use of stamping. But they sometimes comes with serious problems also. There are dozens of different models so generalizations only.
I think that they are built and shoot a lot better. As someone else has said they are also not refurbs.
Chinese SKS shoots better, but Russian has better wood.
Recieved my combo yesterday pretty impressed with the condition of the SKS I got and all that ammo packed nicely in 20 round boxes great deal.
They used to have those along with Norinco silver box 7.62x39. I should have bought the combo when I bought my 858, but I had tons of 7.62x39 already.A CZ858 and ammo combo would be more Canadian........
