So...has anyone tried the slugs in a rifled barrel yet?

EDIT: Perhaps more importantly, can these slugs be fired safely from a choked barrel?

I got a case of the slugs and I love em! Soft on the shoulder, nice and accurate too. I didn't know how a choked barel would handle them so I didn't risk it. Buddy had a Winchester 1500 that cycled these slugs without issue.

If canam's measurement of the ball is accurate, and my understanding of choke sizes based on wikipedia, chokes *should* be fine

I thought I could only shoot a rifled slug from a smoothbore shotgun, are these good to go through a smoothbore?

Yes, no problem. A rifled slug may just be more accurate.

Range report Benelli M4 BRAND NEW GUN
Maybe 15 target loads through before camping dog ran off last weekend.. shooting cut short, and had some hiccups cycling. Might need a break in i thought?

Canpar brings me these dominion buck and slugs. look cool. like that they are clear.

Slugs first. Modified choke. 20Yard 5 shot group the size of a basketball.
out of a box of 25 only ONE time did it cycle. rest were FTE and stovepipes.

Buckshot next. Long rounds. can only get FOUR in the tube...
Cycled flawlessly. EVERY TIME!!!! super rapid firing. love it.

    That's my story.

I shot 50 slugs last Monday.
25 of the Dominion, 25 of Seller & Belliot.
Gun was new 7+1 with cyl bore.
I shot the rifled S&B first and the accuracy was great at about 50 yrds. Turning frying pans into swiss cheese no prob.

Less than impressive results with the Dominion though.
I had fired some birdshot as well in between the boxes of slugs.
I sincerely attribute the Dominions poor accuracy to the fact that my shotguns barrel was VERY hot after running an abundance of shells in a short period of time.
