On my PAL card the 8 digit number is followed by .0001 It isn't part of my PAL number as electronic order forms for online gun buying only want/will accept 8 digits. Whats with the .0001?

It'll become .0002 when you renew your license.

it's the number of revisions that have been made to that pal.rpal be it renewal, add class , or change of address
