Obviously I am new to CGN since I am writing in the Introduction forum. I have reacquainted myself with the shooting sports in the last 2 years and have been bitten by the bug. I was brought up in rural S.W. Alberta on the edge of the rockies. my previous shooting experience is mostly derived from my childhood and dealing with the pesky gophers and magpies on the farm. I am enjoying learning more about the shooting sports as I go. I recently completed the Black Badge course at the Phoenix range in Edmonton, I took the course to become more familiar with my handgun and learn correct handling technique, although after taking the course I am inclined to join the IPSC and try my hand a competition. I would highly recommend the Black Badge course for any hand gun enthusiast, it is an excellent course and very fun. I also enjoy taking my son shooting and teaching him the fundamentals of firearms handling and safety, he enjoys it and is actually quite a good shot. I look forward to learning more from CGN and its many forums.
Cheers,
