    The Ultimate rifle soft case

We have for years been bringing in drag bags and shooting mattes from various manufacturers.
All seem to have some things we like and some we do not. SO we decided to commission what we think is the Ultimate rifle soft case.
Many drag bags are 48 to 52 inches long and fit many sporting type rifle, but once you get a brake on the rifle or run a longer than factory barrel, the options seem to get fewer and fewer. We figured that a 55" inside length would be great, that way a 29" barrelled rifle with brake will fit.

In many instances a shooting matte is something many of us employ, so why not as some have already done make the gun case and shooting matte 1 accessory. This saves the cost of the matte as well as having 2 things to hump around.

This is what we came up with.
Industrial grade water resistant 1000 denier cordura nylon material, YKK military grade zippers and buckles. All stitching is double seam, the cut edges of the fabric are hot cut to prevent unraveling, then have a finish edging sewn on. Lots of molle webbing.
The carry handle and removable back pack straps are all double sewn and are continuous around the bag and overlapped.
No chance of handle or strap sewing failing and allowing the gun to fall.

It folds out flat to make a shooting matte that is 48" wide by 94" long. The gun case part being 48x55" and having 1" think high density foam, the same type as the higher quality camping mattes employ. The 39" of rubberized ground sheet that folds out of the case to keep the shooters legs and feet from the ground/mud/snow has 3 spike loops to keep it from moving or blowing about. There is also an optional removable front tarp for those who shoot rifles with brakes on them and hate the dirt that is thrown up.

Pricing looks like it will be in the $350.00 to $375.00 plus tax range by the time they land here.

We are taking pre-orders now at $325.00 and they should be in country in the next 90 days.

    Very fancy!

Are the zippers able to be locked using a normal size lock, so the bag could be used for restricted transport?

The mil spec zippers do not have the metal tabs that can be locked but tend to break. These have a para cord loop, which I suppose could be locked?
Might I ask what sort of restricted firearm would need a bag of this size? We did not take restricted into account.

Nothing specific in mind, just looking at options. I have a shorter bag designed for AR transport, but it's from the US so only one zipper has locking tabs and even then only for the very tiny luggage locks.

There are already a ton of manufacturers making bags for the small guns. No-one that we could find makes them in big enough size for the rifles we build.
Besides how many guys running an AR need a shooting matte?

This serves a purpose to the large rifle long range shooter which is what your shop seems to be more directed at so im sure people will buy them just not me since I have no purpose for it.
Go read that shlock to a soldier or a fireman or a football player or a bloody barber Theyll all knock your "this" right down your throat while sippin a beer and eating chicken wings. Then wipe their wee fingers on your pretty little pouch"

Does this have an flap when deployed to act as a stop for a bipod to sit against?

Looks almost the same as Galati international's elite bag
