My M14 had quite a few FTF with the Barnaul new production 7.62X51 I bought from my LGS.

    This.

I wouldn't feed by own ARs, KAC or custom, but for a $700 DPMS, I wouldn't hesitate one minute to burn through cases upon cases of that stuff.

A very good study on that here. At 10k rounds its still cheaper to buy the bimetal stuff and replace your ARs barrel twice (once at 4k rounds and again at 8k rounds) then to use regular brass. Personally, Ill stick to my brass though for my AR.

Thanks for the recommendation. My dad's axis won't shoot norc 5.56 without having many failures to fire. It doesn't like military ammo it seems. It this stuff works in them I might buy him some.

They also ran those guns hard and hot, remember. While I've no doubt that steel jackets will wear a barrel faster, I think their wear was accelerated here. They were doing a real torture test

Thats true. I placed my order for Remington UMC brass the day before these came out. Seeing all this praise, I probably would have added a few boxes to try out.

My KAC doesn't like the UMC stuff, too weak. Is this stuff even weaker?
