    Dear Marstar

I know you have truck loads of sks rifles. Ok maybe that's an exaggeration but I know you have or go through a lot of them.

    I have a request.

Please tear down one of those sks rifles so that I may buy some key parts some needed right now and some to have on hand for the future. All of the ones you are sold out of, I really need. I'm freaking dying here. I don't want to buy a whole other sks rifle because that will cut into my Vz fund.

    Needed A.S.A.P:
    Hammer Spring
    Trigger spring
    Gas Tube

Yes I'm joking... but I'm also serious.

I have not searched your 264 posts (as of this typing) to see, but have you tried a general "call out" in the proper thread to see if any Gun Nutters have parts or know where there is parts? Have you tried a WTB ad in the Equipment Exchange?

I was just through ***** back surplus room, I did not see SKS parts but I did see things like No1MkIII and No4MkI barrel bands, M14 flash hider castle nut set screws... maybe another CGN'er has been somewhere and seen parts.

If you tried these things, sorry: didn't search your 264 threads...

I don't know how I feel about dealing privately but I may have to eventually consider it... I'd really rather not if I can avoid it. I need really important parts to be in really good shape and the less used the better.

There is nothing more disappointing to have your favorite rifle going click instead of bang. Especially one that is infamous for being rugged and reliable.

For the price we pay for the SKS it is pretty much a disposable rifle.
Even if you buy a new one every year, that is less than a dollar a day.

I don't think there is anything wrong with my gas tube but I did notice it was a tiny bit crooked on the after market stock so I did a little filing and now it lines up %100 but I was interested in getting the original gas tube replacement they have up there for $16 as a precaution.

I would also include the extractor, extractor spring and firing pin in a order to have on hand for future issues.

Unless you're saving for another rifle. Then it isn't so disposable. I like my sks and I hold it to value. I plan on having it for a long time that's why I'd like to acquire spare parts as well for future maintenance.

I would have bought a whole other SKS at that price!
