not exacly on topic, but if your thinking of buying, get one of the Polish unissued ones(IMO). I had problems with a couple of Russian older models, but the Polish one goes bam every time. Just put a muzzle brake on it. I love the Tokarev. Can't wait to get it out to the range with my cz52.

Question: so exactly when did the change to the serrations on the slide occur? Were there late war (say 1945) TT-33's that had the later type?

Newly manufactured Zastava ones are pretty high quality and their longer grip feels good in the hand.
