The drilled and tapped blued action is derived from a Mauser, fitted to a 20" blued sporter weight barrel with iron sights, and planted into a checkered hardwood stock complete with sling swivel studs. These take Remington 799 (not 700) bases. Leupold makes one piece STD bases for the 799; part number #64005. We're working on tracking some down at the moment.

Got one. Does not do well with corrosive ammo. Lots of light primer strikes. I have shimmed the spring, now no problem.
