Looks like the next time I purchase a handgun, its going to be the Bersa.. very easy on the eyes, and appears to be incredibly reliable.

$589 for the bersa is comparable to the S&W MP9. What would you guys prefer? I'm no expert but Im leaning toward the MP9.

Completely different guns. The only thing similar is they are both chambered in 9x19

All metal (Bersa) vs Polymer Lower (MP9)

Hammer fired DA/SA (Bersa) vs Striker fired (MP9)

The MP9 has way more aftermarket support (probably second only to Glocks & 1911s)

Bersa is the "new" kid on the block so aftermarket support may (or may not) come later.

    Alternatives?

Norc NP22 (less expensive and less refined)
CZ 75 (no longer the bargain they use to be... BUT I LOVE MY SP01 CDN ED!!!)
Girsan Yavuz 16 (Beretta 92FS clone)

Grand Power K100 (polymer lower, but it is a hammer da/sa)
CZ p-09 (again, polymer lower, hammer da/sa)

And finally, the SIG 226R. My personal baby (along with the aforementioned CZ75 SP01 CE).

I have yet to handle one myself, but everyone tells me you get something in fit and finish that is "closer" to the Sig at a price that is "closer" to the Norc.

I already have a SIG 226R 9mm (made in DE/SRT trigger/E2 grips/22lr conversion kit) so I would likely pass on the Bersa (looking at you PPQ!), but if I were in the market for a hammer da/sa all metal 9 that doesnt break the piggy, this would definitely warrant a look!

We can pretty much guarantee you'll find the Bersa to be more accurate

I would be super interested but the first restricted that I have ordered from another dealer still has not show up after 30 days. Not the dealer's fault but very long wait from CFC/CFO and horrendous CANPAR delivery. Not to mention that I will probably have to wait , yet again, for the registration and ATT to show up. Maybe I'll be able to shoot this year?.....
Bersa is the next one on my list, if I ever get my first purchase. Horrendous administration and delivery damn it!

Just to confirm does it come with one mag or two? I saw one post from dealer that it comes with 1xspare mag but can not find any actual info indicating this.
