What is this?

Hi everyone happy to joined the shooting community

I just purchased this CZ75 brand new and noticed these spots on the gun slide




The surface is not pitted but I am just concerned if its rust Btw, it's not that dramatic as in the last picture, the colour of the spots are not brown but dull and noticeable.

Does anyone know what are these spots and should I be concerned

Hi! I forgot the mention I tried cleaning it with CLP and it doesn't come off.

I scrub that thing pretty well with an oiled rag and the spots are still there.

Looks like it might just be a blemish on the finishing, it happens sometimes.

I hope Im just freaking out over some blemish and not something potentially problematic.

Since this was my first firearm purchase and I paid a premium I was expecting some quality control and nice finishes.

Just a thought, if you bought it at a dealer, see if there is something they can do for you. If not, there is a bluing cream you can get, Wholesale sports carries it. It might take it out/cover it, the stuff works pretty good.

Thanks for that information, however my main concern would be rust, if not I would just leave it but I can't figure out what it is.

firstly i havent got any pistols
is the handgun new as from the picture it looks like were a left handed tiggered person would
leave their index finger

I got it from a store new...but I think you are right with your inference.

So, can hand sweat cause a pattern like those shown in the picture?
