Wow, not too thrilled to see this thread. Mine was just delivered and I will have to wait until I get home from work to look at it.... going to be a long afternoon.

In my opinion its a +1 for Wanstalls and a big -1 for Chiappa.
    Great service, Wanstalls.

    Glad to hear it.

Sh*t happens, not the first definitely won't be the last... It's the dealers who keep customers coming back as much as it is the product. A+ for wanstalls

I had a new Chiappa 92 Mares leg and the finish on the follower was badly chipped with flakes all through the action. Retailer (Al's in TO) told me they were all like that. Disclosed and sold on the EE with no regrets.

This one looks like it got function-tested in Alaska.....! but good on Wanstalls. Consistent with the top-notch service I've gotten from them.

I am thankful to report that mine did not unbox with any notable visual concerns. So far I am quite pleased with the "look" of the unit.

I will say that due to the "flat" or "rough/textured" finish to the metal, you can expect mark up relatively easily. I'll be hitting the range today with it and will report back with my feedback.

    Cheers!
    +1

I'm happy to say that mine also looks good. Can't wait to get out and shoot it

I wasn't too worried if it turned out bad as I know Wanstalls would have taken care of the situation. It would have been a PIA/disappointing to have to send it back. Wanstalls reputation is the only reason I ordered it sight unseen.

I am not surprised by Wantsalls making it right.

My why-the-heck head-scratching goes for the OP starting this thread BEFORE contacting Wantsalls. He obviously knew the finish and overall condition of his firearm wasn't right, so why open up a thread?
