Too bad it is as cableguy calls it, a 'Pinnochio' pistol; an almost 6" barrel on a compact frame looks a little silly.
Still, if you lean more towards Walthers or Berettas vs. 1911s, this could be perfect!
The first post mentions it's "derived from the Thunder 380 pistol" which is a significantly different pistol than the Thunder 9. Which is why I'm asking.

What's the slide and frame made out of?

I had posted a question of mine own about the sighting system, as the first post seems to contradict itself; it was not in reference to your question.
If you use the EE, at the very least please name your home province on your bio page.

If BERSA is going to make one with a 106mm they should leave the front sight on the slide instead of the barrel, that should be cheaper to produce and it will look better. They could also do away with the internal safety, the one on the side that you need a key for, there is no need for that in Canada, so if that wasn't included that could also make it cheaper to produce.

I always wanted a PPK and this might be as close as I can get to owning one.
