    I complete detail strip all
    My guns to individual pieces.

Then I trigger lock the lower frames and lower receivers. In my safe.

Then I hide each other part in different areas of my property.

Next I mail the firing pins to myself.

This way not even I can use my guns if I need them....

Actually I use a nice gun safe.

NR's are in a Stack-on cabinet with bolts removed and stored in a locked ammo box hidden away. This is well over and above but if they get my rifles there is no way they can use them without getting bolts. My one pistol is locked in a small hidden and locked cabinet, with a wall mount style trigger lock. Again over kill to a point but I sleep well at night..

I like to mix and match parts for different purposes.. in doing so I generally have enough parts on hand to build up several shotguns and rifles. Bolts and receiver get locked up with complete builds in a hidden safe, ammo is locked up separately with the rest of the parts.

One of my hobbies is designing puzzles and hideaways, and so I keep a shotgun hidden inside of a puzzle in case a black bear breaks into my home and threatens my life. No one I've invited over has figured out the puzzle yet, most of them cant even find where to begin.

Any overflow is stored at my family's farm 30 minutes away.. I'm a collector, not a hoarder

    How Canadian of you.
We all agree that burglars, home invaders, rapists, serial killers shouldn't be made to feel uncomfortable or unwelcome by the presence of readily accessible firearms when they break into your home.

I store my two firearms (handguns) in my safe, which is in my bedroom closet and bolted to the wall. Furthermore, I trigger locked both and store my ammo in a locked container in a separate room. I know I don't have to trigger lock them when in a safe but I do it anyway. I like to exceeded the requirements just a bit to be on the safe site. Take care guys and have a good weekend.

    Depends where I am :D.
    Gun control defined:
The theory that criminals who are willing to ignore laws against rape, torture, kidnapping, theft, and murder, will obey a law that prohibits them from owning a firearm while disarming decent people from having access to firearms to prevent criminals from achieving their goals.

My guns are stored in safes and the ammo in padlocked boxes.
All of the above are stored in a locked room with one barred window.
I own a trigger lock or a cable lock (lever actions) for each gun I own so I figure the best place to store the trigger lock when I'm not traveling is on the gun.
So essentially my guns are trigger locked in the safes.
Well above and beyond what the law requires.
Of course they will charge U, the judge however will throw it out before U ever appear before him if indeed you did have your weapons secured as per law and undertook extraordinary efforts beyond the minimum requirement.
