    the standard seem to be 5/8 or 1/2 inch, 3/8 wont stand high caliber

    FWIW These are barely affected by 308

    I shot them at the range on Sunday

    Those may need to move out to 200m. But I doubt most would want to shoot the long range stuff at 100m anyway

    If they are for private use I bet they would last a long time..... left at the range and some joker will start drilling holes through it somehow.

    Like CanAm's points out it's just a matter of moving them out a bit further to 200 yards for most common hunting rounds.

    I like the 8 inch gongs... you get bigger and they start to get heavy fast. I can't drive out to the long distance target spots so carrying larger plates sucks when you're feeling lazy
