...Sounds like we need to do some testing Chris...

downside of bigger plates is heavier weights... I am sure he won't go that big for the sheer cost of shipping.

    Ryan,

Can you please look into getting these plates in 10in and 12in sizes?

I bought one of these targets about 2 months ago. It took about ~200 or so rounds of 308 and 7.62x54 and 60 rounds of 223 at 100m an ear cracked and eventually snapped off from the plate. retired it to small calibre stuff after went through about 100 rounds of 9mm, ~130 of 7.62x25, and just short of 500 22LR at 25m. Same thing the other ear slowly started to crack until it eventually gave out (it was a 22LR that finished it off haha). It was fun while it lasted, but kinda thought it to be really short lived for a target of this type... I only had the one plate so I'm not sure if the plates themselves are poorly manufactured, or maybe I just got the only lemon. I was shooting mostly FMJ and a few rounds made the smallest mark (I think it was the 223) but most of them left non at all. It still serves as a target for me, its just kinda disappointing having to set it up on the ground as opposed to swinging now.

I had one plate that the ears also started to crack. Great thanks to can am they sent me another one free of charge and I bought 2 more. Now my second one is starting to develop a tiny crack at one of the ears. But my plate have faird much better then yours , it don't show any dent or deformation. I will say that for the price I am still happy.

Sharp corners where the ears meet the main plate and hard material are not a good combination. There should be a 1/2" radius in there.
