Just a little FYI. There are many steel mills located around the world, but only a select few are able to produce steel that is hard enough and of sufficient quality to be safely used for steel targets. HARDOX/SSAB, Bethlehem-Lucas, Oregon Steel Mills and NKK are major producers of such steel. Steel must be through hardened not just surface hardened. AR500 Brinell and AR550 Brinell Heavey Duty Armor Steel. Being 3/8 has no bearing on the quality of the steel. This product is being advertised as AR 500 3/8 and that is what it is.

I've shot steel core 7.62 at these both x39 and x51. these things only scratched the paint at 100-150 with the 3/8 width target, great item to shoot.

It has a lot to do with the type of steel. Regular mild steel will get chewed up bad. AR 500 is much much harder and should do very well, even at 3/8" thick.

Oh so tempting, no immediate use for one, but love the option for the future!

    Paul,

    Great deal as always!

Bring more sizes and it will sell as hotcakes.

We need 10 in and 12 in diameter also.

If these are as good quality as I think they are, you will be the one and only CGN sponsor that supplies them to us at reasonable price.

You will sell as many as you can get in stock!

I like the 8 inch gongs... you get bigger and they start to get heavy fast. I can't drive out to the long distance target spots so carrying larger plates sucks when you're feeling lazy
Howdy, found you guys through watching referrals on my site, I'm the MOA Targets guy, who made the flow chart. I've got a bunch more info at my blog that helps explain how the whole hardened steel works, and doesn't work, for those who are interested.

I've looked into shipping to your frozen wasteland from my desiccated wasteland, and it's just not economic*. I do, however, enjoy talking shop, so if you have any questions of me, feel free to ask.

*By not economic, I'm looking at $42.25 in postage to send a max of 20 lbs of steel, which is typically about $100 worth of targets. :/
