One of the biggest complaints with trail cameras is how they eat up batteries in the cold. Not anymore! The Bushnell Trophy Cameras have come a long way. The camera in these pictures has been using the same 8 AA batteries since Oct 26th (and it still showing about 25% of its life as of Dec 6th). We have seen temps as low as -34 in this time, but they keep on ticking. This is in addition to close to 1500 pictures the camera has taken since October (all on the original 8 batteries!). trail cameras make a great Christmas gift, and they open up a whole new world of viewing wildlife buy showing you what goes on after dark. They work great for hunters, wildlife watchers and security. Until Dec 25th we are offering Big Savings on Bushnell, Simmons and Primos Trail Cameras (all owned by Bushnell outdoors).

In case you are wondering, both bucks never showed themselves in the daylight once this season, so they now get to enjoy the winter eating alfalfa in my field on my dime!

Do you have any cams that transmit the pictures remotely to a cell phone or computer. ( regular Canadian Cell network ) Thanks.

We have not gotten into those models yet. They are allot more pricey and given the poor to non existant cell service in most area hunting areas, there was not allot of interest.

I'd be a lot interested once the price comes down some!

Its amazing how much these guys eat. I have about 12-18 deer on my hunting area, and since Late October they have gone through about 1300 LBS of peas. We expect another 15-20 deer who normally show up in Mid December to graze on the alfalfa crop and the alfalfa bales (once the snow get deeper). There is no way to justify feeding that many at 15 cents a pound for peas, when I can offer them 2 cents a pound Alfalfa bales!
