    photo for my pal

    Hi,

Just had my PAL application photos taken at Costco and they are actually passport size. They claim it is the right size but on rcmp's website the required size is different from what I got from Costco. Couldn't get the size required by RCMP as it's not offered by Costco. Can my application be delayed for something like this?
    thanks!

Good to go. Mine was shot horizontally instead of vertically and it went through fine. I guess they are not as anal as the passport department.

You can trim it to make it the right size. That's what they did at Wal-Mart when I had it done. They really don't seem picky, my picture makes me look like I'm up to something evil and they put it on the PAL. You can even take your own according to the rules they gave me.

    Yup.

I used free software (http://www.idphoto4you.com/) to format the picture to Canadian passport size. It produces a file which fits on a standard 4x6 that you can print for under 50 cents.

BCAA will give you passport photos free with your membership. That's what I used. And when I needed a new pic the next time I used a Polaroid self developing pic.

Take a couple selfies with your phone and load them to computer. View the 'properties' of the images and select one that fulfills ALL the criteria, including number of pixels allowed. Send it online and you're good.

I guess size doesn't matter You sent passport size and had no problem? They are bigger than what they're asking

Firearms license photos are different than passport photos. Just slightly. When I had mine done, the girl used a template to size the photo. If I remember correctly, it is larger than a passport photo. I believe both will suffice.
