Who says it takes 7.62x39 ar mags? Maybe it has some proprietary pistol mag.
Personally, reading up on this rifle makes me want a FN SCAR even more.

If an 18.5" non restricted version of that came out that took AR mags, it would be game over!
If I remember correctly, the CZ 805 is modular and the magwell and barrel can be swapped out for different mags / calibres. It works with STANAG and HK G36 magazines as well as the CZ proprietary mags (with the appropriate magwell). Apparently the proprietary mags are interchangeable with the HK G36 mags, which would be good for increasing availability and lowering cost if true. From what I understand, the VZ58 family magazines do not work with the BREN. All in all, it's a very versatile rifle.
If it ends up being in the 1000 to 1500 price range non restricted I'm in for one.
