Sand gets in through the magazine well. Even with a magazine inserted, the well isn't exactly sealed. The rifle stays relatively clean if you keep it off the ground and you're careful (not inserting sandy mags, not using the barrel as a cane or a crutch, etc.).Originally Posted by Waynetheman

What I mean is that I've seen other tests where sand or dirt was poured onto it with the dust cover open, dirt poured into the magazine and even with the bolt open, it still functioned so pouring a massive bag of sand on a gun with the bolt and dust cover closed with magazine inserted the gun is basically sealed and the test to me doesn't mean much.

Just posted up the new pricing on Friday. Quite a few other lines will get their pricing changed as well due to the brutal exchange rate now.
Of hand I think the SR15 went up by about $200

Well the deals from the previous year are done now in my opinion the backlog of rifles are slowly disappearing and the exchange rates are going to push the MSRP up from here on forward.

The Canadian market was spoiled for a while I'm sure there will be a lot of whining about it in the months to come. If you don't have some KAC now I would get it well prices are still good.
It was a sound and pleasant investment, that i got one SR15 Mod, if the CPC get a majority govt this fall, not even a higher price will stop me of getting the same version in SR25... JP.
Yeah buy once cry once, not sure what your deal is on cleaning your rifle though, it takes 5 minutes for a wipe down.
