It's a marketing decision. There are more 870's out there than there are Mossberg this is evident in how many more accessory options are available to the 870 over the Mossberg's.

Although, because of so many adapters out there, most 870 stocks will fit to the Mossy's. Which again brilliant marketing on Magpul. "Oh hey! You got a Mossy? Great, with a simple 870 adapter you can have this unfair advantage too! Unless you don't mind waiting a year to get the specific accessory!" In most cases people will buy the 870 part and use the adapt, but in many cases they'll do that and then the right one later on if they liked the stock. Some might even buy an 870 to put the first set of furniture on ((since 870's can be dirt cheap used)). Either way Magpul makes bucks.

Some insight - in 2014 we sold more Mossberg SGA stocks than Remington SGA stock.

Cool! Though the 870 is still the most produced shot gun in the world; second place is the Mossy 500 series.

Either way I know I'm Magpul's B**** and will be getting this stock. So far they're batting 100 on everything I've purchased; and there's been a lot! I could probably cover every inch of one the gun safes with just Magpul Stickers.

Available for purchase now by dealers/distributors, but delivery is schedule for April 2015.

We are currently debating the pros and cons of offering presales of the stocks and accessories - the fluctuating dollar is giving us some pause.

that's fair, eagerly awaiting there arrival. I was so happy to see magpul release this, save me more than a bit of cash vs. other comparable chassis. Leaps and bounds better than the Archangel stock!

US MSRP is $259.99 for the stock alone, at the best conversion rate today (2015-02-02) this puts it at $333.86 CAD
