Was part of their pro/mil program a few years back. Just to buy the PCU layer system. And I also got a boonie hat. Best ever investment if you work in Africa. Patagonia is good stuffs.
Disclosure: I work for Veritac Global
Dont have to look good, to shoot good... Just saying... JP.
Patagonia or bust... I've got a ton of their stuff and it's always top notch.
I'll have to call around and see if I can any buddies willing to "broker" the deal for me ;D

I was in the arcteryx shop in toronto and asked if they had some of the products in tan, they said no and that those were for Leo/mil only, with that in mind is it just the colour schemes that make it Leo/mil?, and to both arcteryx and Patagonia you make great gear but I don't want to go into the woods dressed like a frikin rainbow
In my experience (with Arcteryx anyways..) the build quality and attention to detail are usually better than their civilian offerings. I've got an arcteryx designed USMC ILBE pack that's far more durable than anything they'd sell to the public. It's also MUCH heavier though. Whether or not it's any "better" really depends on what qualities you're looking for. Some people want ultralight technical fabrics, others prefer 1000 denier ballistic nylon :D

Some of us old timers aren't in anymore, but we still like the gear.
