Thanks for the alternative mudgunner, I'll probably just get the ball and spring and the punch and instal it myself. In fact I may order a few balls and springs....
I like the ball and spring system and have more then one old wingmaster that uses it. I also have sling plates designed for the ball system and besides ,the one ball I had shoot out of it's hole only to disappear somewhere in my shop, I've had good luck with the old detent ball.
Our Government trusts rivets more then law abiding gun owners.

I have 2 Wingmasters old enough to have the ball detent but both of my 14" HP9's and both of my newer 870's have the wave washer and it has worked well. I like to have a few extras around just in case one goes into dimension X in the shop.

I say use whatever blows up yer kilt...

I had waffled and missed this from Reliable as well but found a preorder still available from S&J Hardware. You might want to look there. Sorry Reliable, not stealing your thread, I was bummed I missed out and was lucky to find another source and want to share with a fellow nutter.

We've just received word that we were allocated another 10 barrels and I have no doubt they will sell fast.

Email me if you would like one!

    Thanks,
    Nick

Oddly enough my 870 Express Tactical has the detent ball on the factory 18.5" barrel.

Is there a ball-park on arrival for these? Like even a 2-month window?

What we were given to go on is to expect them AROUND the end of the first to beginning of the second quarter. So I'm hoping to see them then but sometimes things get held at the border.

Wish this were an industry that I could give exact dates! It would make the life of all of the CGN Sponsors a little easier. lol

We'll let you guys/gals know more when we can.
    Thanks,
    Nick

Understand you can't guarantee anything, logistics with firearms is a pain. However, are you on a Jan 1 Fiscal Year, or a March 1 Fiscal Year? That makes a significant difference when you say second quarter!

    Thanks again!
