We are aware that many police officers and serving military members are active on the forums. Here are some links that may be of interest.

Facility Tours: The Colt Canada factory is off limits normally, however it may be possible for official tours to be arranged for police and military units. More information can be obtained here. You can send an email from an official email address to the postmaster email found under contacts.

Unfortunately the facility is off limits for individual tours or the general public.


Training Courses: Colt Canada hosts Armourer, Operator Instructor Courses as well as custom training and the new Designated Marksman course. Course attendance is strictly limited to sworn police officers and active duty military personnel. These training courses are the only factory certified and approved training for the C8 family of weapons.

The Armourer courses are hosted at the factory or at agencies that wish to host a course. Dates are posted on the website along with registration forms, here. Agencies that wish to host a course may contact the postmaster email found under contacts.

The Operator Instructor course may be booked by any agency that wishes to host that course and has access to a suitable range. The course is also run in concert with The Milcun Marksmanship Complex (w ww.milcun.com) once a year in the spring at their excellent range facility. This course is designed to provide a new carbine instructor with instructor level expertise on the C8 family and a chance to develop or improve carbine marksmanship skills. Weapons can be provided with advance notice or duty weapons may be used. Dates are posted on the website along with registration forms, here. The Designated Marksman course is also run in concert with the Milcun Marksmanship Complex once a year in the fall. This course is designed to introduce basic or experienced shooters to the Designated Marksmanship role and develop his or her skills to be able to be employed in that role. Colt Canada training courses are highly regarded and spots full up quickly. Colt Canada instructors have military background and operational experience as well as specific technical expertise, training , and experience with the C8 family of weapons.


Military and LE Discounts

Colt Canada appreciates those who serve. We are proud to present a discount for those who serve. These discounts are available to police, regular and reserve force personnel and armed nuclear security officers.

SA20 and SA15.7. There is an Individual Officer Purchase program for the 30th Anniversary limited edition SA models. Details are posted here. Documentation is required to validate service.

Surplus IURs. Participating dealers are providing a 10% discount for military and police. ID is required to validate service. Many are site sponsors here on CGN. Colt Canada encourages you support CGN sponsors.
