    Whats a good scope for 2-350 yards i am novice and everyone tells me to get a vortex because they have the best warrenty

    For that range I like 1-6's 1-8's depending on the target you are shooting. A 4-12 might be better if you're into precision shooting.

    More for hunting , i am young i have never hunted but am going to start, and i do not want to wound the animal so i think that range is as far as i want to go to pull the trigger. i am thinking of a sako 7mm stainless bolt action. so it has to be one shot 1 kill and i havenever even sighten in a rifle let alone hunted deer or elk. so i just want to makesure that i make the right decision on a scope and gun im pretty set on 7mm because it will be my only hunting rifle. any help or ideas would be appreaciated a freind suggested a 4x16 or something like tha but i dont know.

    Sorry for the noob questions but just breaking onto the hunting scene and i have alot to learn at 36 years old . but i want to learn and pass this onto my kids and hope they get into it.

    I dont know anything about scopes or hunting, been watching lots of field dressing videos and looking at tools to do it a nice sharp buck knife and a hand saw for the pelvic bone and some long rubber disposable gloves.

    A 4-16 would be a great option for hunting.

    Gives you close and long range options.

    Ok and I hear vortex is very good at warranty like ooops I drove over it with my quad and crushed it warranty.
